When “Indiana Wants Me” went to Number 1, I flew out to Los Angeles to do Dick Clark's American Bandstand. It was a real honor since I was a huge fan of the show and had watched it since it began. I was like every other kid, I raced home from school to hear the new records.
Dick Clark is an amazing part of American music and culture. I wish him all the best.
